Here are new pictures of Nick. Nick is a handsome boy with post operative CHD. A recent update says this about Nick:

He lives at the orphanage.
He never been in foster home.
He is a sweet boy. He is getting along well with other children. He has some good friends, such as XXXX, XXXX.
His main food is rice, meat and vegetable. He loves to eat pork.
He usually has a whole bowl rice for lunch and dinner. His meal time is 7am for breakfast, 11:30-12:00 for lunch and 5pm for dinner.
He sleeps alone. He takes nap from 12:00-2:00pm. He goes to bed at 8pm.
He plays a little bit before his bed time. He gets up during mid-night if he needs to go to pee.
He sleeps in dark and quiet.
He likes to take shower.
His nick name is XXXXX
He doesn’t like strangers.
When he is upset, you can play with him and also give him some snacks. Then he will be happy.
He doesn’t have any birth note.
He only had couple times cold. He doesn’t have any allergy.

3 year old Henry is a champion! He has both hands & right lower leg deformity. He can say some simple words and sentences, such as “Nihao, A Yi, I want…”. He can totally understand people talking. He can hold to stand up, jump, also pick things up. He also can hold a bat to play ball or pat balls by hands.

Beautiful Olivia

Just look at how beautiful 5 year old Olivia is. Olivia has multiple limb deformities of both the arms and legs, but has a spirit that thrives.

An orthopedist that reviewed her file had this to say:

This girl will be very functional with her upper extremities. It is surprising how well kids with this condition will adapt to the point of even playing musical instruments. There is a well known newscaster in Los Angeles named Bree Walker who has a similar condition and has led a very productive life to include having children of her own. There is also a world champion chess player named Mikhail Tal. Her leg length discrepency will worsen as she gets older and she will benefit from surgical treatment of this. She appears to have fibular hemimelia (difficult to tell for sure from the pictures). She does have a good plantigrade foot. She will likely need leg lengthening on her left. This is a difficult procedure best done by a specialist. In the meantime the shoe lift is a good temporizing measure. I don't see any inidcation she has cerebral palsy. She appears to be developing well from a mental/social perspective. Please let me know if I can be of any other assistance.

From her update 3-5-10:

the surgery to separate her fingers of both hands are done well. Her fingers can move well. She can hold some things not very heavy, but she can't make a fist. Both her wrists can be bent but not 100%. Her left elbow can be bent, but limited. Same for her right elbow. Left knee is doing fine. Left ankle can't be 100% bent. The wound at left arm and left leg seems fine. Her both arm muscles are normal. Her leg muscle test is IV +. Left leg is about 6cm shorter than right leg. Her right leg is normal. Her heart is normal and her nerve system reaction is normal.

Olivia's personality is described as outgoing, she is a clever girl, likes answering teachers' questions, and has strong self-managing ability, good living habits and all people like her.

This is Zachary. Zachary is 20 months old and just look at him go! Zachary is described as restless and sometimes obstinate. He has a repaired cleft lip and his III° palate is still open. His file mentions a diagnosis of ASD in one section - but it is unclear if this diagnosis has been confirmed.

**An Update from his orphanage says he is on target with the other children and he is "all boy". He is active, curious, funny and mischievous. Zachary's file will be returned April 30, so time is running short for him.

Tripp is able to take care of himself well such as dress himself up and etc. Now he stays with 10 other kids in a big room and he treats all kids very friendly. Whenever his friends were being adopted, he will show envy and ask when would be his turn. He always shows his eagerness to meet his parents (adopter). He has a very positive attitude towards being adopted and always answers YES whenever he was asked if he is willing to be adopted.

Isaiah likes to draw all the nanny's attention by saying or waving Hi to them. He likes to be hugged and played with. He also likes to stroll around in his walker following his nanny. He doesn't like to be put in bed, instead, he will pretend being upset. He will fall to sleep very fast if the nannys don't buy his tricks and ignore him. He likes to suck his thumb a lot. He really is a very charming little boy and we all love him so much.

Look at the smile on this cutie! Dawson is 2 years old and has deformities of both hands and feet. It doesn't seem to slow him down much. Just look what the caretaker's say about Dawson:

Dawson has very find physical and mental development except his limb special need. He is super smart. He can walk alone well. Sometimes, his right foot cleft when he walks, but he can control it when he walks.

He is very outgoing and active, even very naughty (playful). He likes to be praised. When you tell him “good boy,”, he always smiles to you. He likes to communicate with people. He always says hi to everyone. He is very polite. When he sees any visitors, he likes to go to shake hands. He likes to read book and listen to music. He has very good sense of music. When he hears the music, he always shakes his body and dance. He is not a picky eater. We all love him very much.

GAGE - MATCHED!!

Gage was diagnosed with a meningocele on his waist but has had corrective surgery and is doing very well. Gage is 5 years old.

He acts the same as other healthy children. He can jump and run. He plays ball very well. He likes to play games with other children. His favorite game is to act as a policeman and catch the thief. He reacts fast and moves fast too. He is always the winner when he plays the games. He is a very smart and sweet boy. He is going pre-school. He is doing super of studying and also getting along well with other children. He is very polite too. He can do the math less than 10. His handwring is beautiful. He can write and read Pinying. He likes to read story book. He is a good talker. Everyday after school, he always share his story with nannies by very clear statement. He likes to show himself all the time. He is very active and outgoing. He is very independent and trying to do everything by self. He can eat, drink, put clothes on, take shower. He has a very routine life everyday. He is a very easy going, happy and kind little boy.

Steven was visited a few days ago and the report back was that he is such a smart and lovely boy that was very curious about new things. The visitor showed him the pictures they had been taken and he wanted to see all the pictures on the camera. Sounds like a regular 5 year old to me! We were told that he is not on any medication currently and had one episode requiring medication last winter.

He is an active boy with a radiant smile. The boy with him is his buddy. He is deaf and also 5 years old. We are not sure of the status of his paperwork at this time, but would be happy to inquire more about him if you are interested in this sweet boy.

Here is Kevin. Kevins has some serious heart issues and needs a family as soon as possible. We have done everything we can to help Kevin get the care he needs. We have an angiogram for Kevin that was done in April. We are trying to get a cardiologist to review it and give us a review of Kevin's condition. So many people have fallen in love with this little boy and have been praying for his family to finally bring him home so he can get the care he desperately needs.

Because of her special need, Ruby’s body development is more delayed than other children, but her intellectual development is on target. Ruby can take care of most of her daily needs such as bathing, going to the bathroom and getting dressed. Ruby is an active child and enjoys singing and entertaining.
This girl is amazing! She has a phenomenal attitude and bright cheery smile the entire time. Watch the video below and listen to her sing her little heart out and show us all the great things she is capable of doing. Her sewing skills are way beyond anything I could ever do - ha! We pray her family will find her very soon and give her the love she deserves.

How beautiful is this girl?? Janie also is not on a specific list - but she is currently waiting for her forever home. Janie is 9 years old and was born with congenital hip dysplasia. Janie was found when she was 4 years old in front of a hospital. She had a note attached to her with her birthdate and explanation of her medical needs. It would seem that her family was unable to pay for the many surgeries she would need in the future. She has had several surgeries since then to correct her special need and is currently doing very well. We have a translator working on the short interview at the end of the video and will publish the information as soon as we get it.

Here is Nathan. Nathan turned 8 a couple of months ago and look how handsome he is. Nathan has hypospadias - but has had surgery to correct it. He is doing very well and lives with a foster family. We have just received a new update and pictures for him.

1. physical : After the surgery, he can stand to pee normally. His limbs have been very fine. He can use hand to hold pen, eat with chopstick. He likes to caper around. He runs very fast. Although he is thin, he is very strong. He hardly gets sick.

2. school time: he is in pre-school class. He can write many words. He can write his name very well. He can count from 1 to 10. He knows couple children songs. He has 5,6 good friends in the school. He tells foster family what happens during his school time. He loves to go to school. His favorite subject is sport.

3., home time: He gets up 7 am, makes his bed then go to wash face and brush the teeth. Sometimes, Mom gives him money to buy breakfast outside. He likes to help to prepare for meal, such as make the table, fill rice for everyone. He goes to bed around 8:30pm. He takes shower by self everyday.

4. hobby: his favority activity is to play with classmates and friends. He likes to climb, run. His favority toys are water gun, car and plane. He has wonderful appetite and loves to eat anything. His favorite foods are candy, cracker, icecream, soft drinks.

5. mental development: his mental development is very good. He can express his feeling so well. He is very active and outgoing. He is very polite too. He is getting alone with other people very well. He helps a lot at home. His mom thinks he is such an easy child.

Nathan has been waiting for a home for a very long time. His file is in danger of being returned soon so we are asking everyone to please advocate for him. His time is short, so please help us to spread the word about Nathan.

Steven is an adorable 4.75 year old boy that has epilepsy. Steven's first siezure was just last summer and he has only had one siezure since then. Steven's language was delayed possibly by the siezures, but he is talking and doing very well now. Steven is a happy boy and his smile is radiant.

We have LOTS of new pictures of Carter. He is just the cutest little guy! Carter has dextrocardia which basically means that his heart is on the right side rather than the left side. He also shows a diagnosis of ASD and VSD.

This is what his caregives said in his latest update dated 4.30.09

Since he joined the orphanage, he has developed very normally. He is quite active and likes to be the leader of the children. But he is kind of shy when he meets strangers.

He is 82cm, 12kg, 48cm head, 38cm arm, 54cm chest, 41cm leg, 49 sitting height 13.5cm foot.

Please help him to find a family. We know he will have chance to do the surgery in US and it will bring him a better future.

Look how cute this kid is!
This is Elliott and his DOB is 6-24-2006. Elliott has hypospadias. Elliott's condition is a little more complex than a typical case of hypospadias. Elliott has had DNA testing done which has returned results of 46 xy. Elliott was taken for an ultrasound but apparently was did not enjoy that experience much so they were unable to complete the test. Elliot lives with a foster family and is doing very well. He is a happy, likeably boy that needs a forever home.

Jared is a very sweet little boy that has been blind since birth. We just got an update and new pictures of this cutie. Riding bicycles does not seem to be a problem for Jared!

90cm, 13kg, 48cm head, 49cm chest. He is a very active and outgoing child. As he is blind, he is very careful when he goes to a new place. He feels more comfortable when his foster Mom is around. He walks very well if he knows the place. He can hold the bottle to drink formula，take his socks off, tell people if he needs to go to restroom, ask water if he is thirsty. He is attached to his foster Mom a lot. Whenever Mom calls his name, he can track the sound to go to her. He can say Mom, Dad, doggy, chick...Sometimes, he talks to himself. He can do clap hands, wave hands to good bye. He can push the toy car on the floor to play with. He can pick up the toys with 2 hands and knock each other. He knows to say No. He loves music and enjoys spending time with family. He likes toy with sound. He likes to know what happens around.

Mikey doesn't let ANYTHING slow him down. Just look at him doing his little kung fu demonstration and then running down the hallway with a huge smile on his face. You can see him going up and down a stairway and even shows us how well he can dress himself. The caretakers absolutely love this little boy and can't wait to see his future unfold. This little boy is a champion in all aspects!

Tessa is a beautiful 7.5 year old girl with a bright smile. Her intelligence is slightly delayed compared to children of the same age. She was diagnosed by a doctor as having lower grade dysgnosia. Tessa has a routine life with her foster family. She serves guests politely, will finish her homework with the help of her foster mother after school. She may forget things once learned, but will memorize after learning repeatedly. Tessa has learned singing, dancing. She has good hygienic habits, her self-care ability is improved, and she is more open and active than ever. Tessa gets along well with members of foster family. She is able to do simple works, such as cleaning table. She likes outdoor activities and likes playing together with other children.
